Events at Carwinion

Carwinion hosts a variety of high quality family events throughout the year from fun days among the gunnera to engaging summer theatre in the garden. Carwinion is also an ideal location for private parties. See below for news of the latest planned events.

Guests at theatre events are encouraged to bring a picnic and perhaps a bottle of wine to enjoy the experience of Cornish garden theatre thoroughly.

Don't forget that the Carwinion kitchen will normally be open to offer light refreshments. It's best to come prepared so think about a rug, cushions or deckchairs. You may need warm woollies or light coats for later in the evening.

Miracle Theatre Co presents Tartuffe
Date Monday, August 31, 2009.
Details

Cornwall’s Miracle Theatre celebrated its 30th anniversary with an updated adaptation of Tartuffe, Molière’s sharpest comedy.

This masterclass in hypocrisy, as fresh and provoking as when it was banned in 1664, was perfectly suited to Miracle’s high energy outdoor performance style.

Guests enjoyed the show in Carwinion’s beautiful grounds and soaked up the sun with a picnic before cosying up with blankets after dark. We supplied plenty of hot drinks, cakes and biscuits.
